New Indoor and Outdoor Trend: Hanging Furniture
Hanging furniture is a new, playful way to add a unique and modern touch to any event space. Both tables and seating can be varied architecturally, making them suitable for many environments. They can hung from many different structures, including trees and ceiling beams. This design works great not only in event spaces, but also in your home or workspace.

This emerging trend looks great in not only western styled spaces, but also many other modern environments. Animal skull/head accessories are found in a variety of mediums, making them a unique and versatile addition to any home or event space. They can be mounted on walls, placed as table centerpieces, or put as a focal point of a lounge or bar.
Taking inspiration from www.designsponge.com, we created a western-inspired lounge and paired it with a natural animal skull.
Just to show you how easy it is to apply a design trend to an event, we used our SHELTER couch, PASHA Black thrones, GOLD WIRE side tables, and the LOW COMMUNAL SCULPTED-EDGE table in white with a blush snake-skin top.

Last Monday night we celebrated Boston’s Best with The Improper Bostonian Best at the Sky Walk Observatory. The 360 degree views of Boston created an amazing backdrop to a fabulous party.
We provided four sponsor lounges using our Shelter Couch, Low Sculpted Edge Communal Table with Black Gator Inlay, Pashas, Shag Rug and Gold Scalloped Side Tables. We styled the lounges with Black, Gold & Sunshine Pillows and littered the Communal Table with Gold Mercury Glass, Gold Dahlias and Smoke & Gold Votives to create a beautiful atmosphere.
To create a WOW factor, we styled the two entries with our Grand Crystal Candelabras, Gold Mercury Glass, Vintage Candelabras and Disco Balls of course! Every party needs a disco ball 😉

Chic accessory for any event lounge. I love these stools not only because they come in a variety of colors and patterns, but they also have multiple uses: an end table, cluster a few for a unique coffee table, ottoman, plant stand, and of course, a sitting stool for indoors or out.
Here are some of our favorites: Use pictures of cool white ones, classic style, one in a variety of colors, our gold face + a classic metallic.
We are so excited to be working with the Peabody Essex Museum on designing the Opening Party for: California Design, 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way (see the Exhibit description below). Here is a sneak preview of what’s to come – we have gathered some pretty cool curiousities – Thanks Home Goods, Jonathan Adler + Trina Turk – to help set the tone. Be sure to check out AFTER the Party in a couple of weeks to see the final set-up. I, for one, am SUPER excited to see this come to life.

More than 200 examples of mid-century modern design reveal the distinctive role California had in shaping material culture from 1930-1965. Featuring a diverse array of furniture, textiles, fashion, industrial and graphic design, ceramics, jewelry, metalwork, film and architecture, this exhibition celebrates the innovation and pervasiveness of mid-century modern design. The work of legendary designers such as Charles and Ray Eames, Richard Neutra, and Greta Magnusson Grossman are explored, as is the sociological and geographical context which gave rise to this unprecedented design movement. Organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), this exhibition is the first major study of California mid-century modern design.
Support provided by the East India Marine Associates of the Peabody Essex Museum.
